In November 23rd, food and Drug Administration issued guidance on food production and operation enterprises to establish food safety traceability system (draft). The draft pointed out that the record and preservation of food safety information, is the basis for the effective operation of food safety traceability system. Food production and management enterprises to establish food safety traceability system, should follow the establishment of enterprises, the Department of guidance, classification implementation, co-ordination of the four major principles.
It is understood that the food production and operation of enterprises to establish a food safety traceability system is the core and foundation, is to record the whole process of quality and safety information. The draft requirements, food production and operation of enterprises is the main responsibility for the construction of the traceability system of food safety, the first responsible person, in accordance with relevant laws and regulations and standards, combined with the actual business, the establishment of food safety traceability system, fulfill the responsibility back.
Because of this, the establishment of food safety traceability system of food production enterprises objectively and effectively, to record and preserve food quality and safety information, can realize the food quality and safety traceability to transit, reverse traceability, risk control.
Draft also pointed out that the food and drug regulatory authorities in accordance with the relevant laws, regulations and standards, guidance and supervision of food production and operation of enterprises to establish a food safety traceability system. All relevant departments shall, in accordance with the principle of territorial management, do a good job in overall planning, coordination and promotion of work. Food and drug regulatory authorities should pay attention to communication and coordination with the agriculture, the entry and exit inspection and quarantine departments to promote food and edible agricultural products traceability system to effectively connect.
It is understood that the draft refers to enterprises engaged in food production, including food production enterprises, food, edible agricultural products sales business, catering business, food, edible agricultural products transportation and storage of food and drug supervision departments shall supervision business enterprise.
